In order to efficiently coordinate energy security and stable supply and green low-carbon development, steadily promote a new model of energy-saving and carbon-reducing development, and scientifically and orderly achieve the "double carbon goal", the New Energy Forum of Central Enterprises and the 2023 Promotion Day of New Energy Battery Industry Development of Central Enterprises were held in Beijing on April 19. Representatives of relevant government departments, experts and scholars, and entrepreneurs gathered together to discuss how to coordinate the safe and stable supply of energy and green low-carbon development. As the only private enterprise representative, Mr. Miao Xuezhong, Chairman of Zhejiang Xinjiu Holding Group, was invited to attend the forum and made a keynote speech on the high-quality development of new energy industry.

The background and significance of the "double carbon target" in the new economic situation were analyzed and elaborated from various dimensions.

Lou Jiwei, member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), director of the Foreign Affairs Committee and former minister of the Ministry of Finance, delivered a keynote speech on "Multi-measures to accelerate innovative development and actively build a new high ground for new energy industry". He proposed to think about how to deal with trade protectionism using the issue of environmental protection, and suggested to increase the subsidies for rent, utilities and gas for small and micro enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, and to increase subsidies for low- and middle-income people.

 The event was held in the context of General Secretary Xi Jinping's instruction to accelerate the development of new energy industry and the 2023 government work report on supporting the development of green industry, which has a positive role and far-reaching significance in implementing the national new energy strategy and promoting the high-quality development of new energy industry.
